Adam Aaren - keys

With his Pianist-like tendencies first starting to manifest themselves after joining a Bon Jovi Cover band whilst at school , Adam has gone on to play live & record session piano & keys for a number of Funk, Soul & Blues & HipHop groups, including a brief recording spell in the U.S with Peter Sando, of 60's Band Gandalf.

Turning in recent years to writing, producing & remixing, Adam is now most often found in the studio producing funky, & electro-house as one half of 'Double Montana', signed to Recognise001 Records, &  'Z-Listers' on Oh My Recordings.

Since running away to join the Beat Circus in January 2007, Adam's has flexed his keyboard muscle monthly alongside the many resident & Guest DJs , providing Funky Rhodes Piano & Sexy Synth soundtracks. He has also worked with the DJ's to produce the twisted BC dubplates showcased at key points of the nights as the live musicians work their magic, & the crowd.

Kat Jackman- electric cellist and effects

Kat Jackman (24) is a diploma level cellist with a BA (Hons) in Music. Kat is classically trained on the cello and has studied with Fa Fa Jin, Laura Ritchie and Graham Elliot.

During her study at Chichester University she became acquainted with some exciting musicians and song writers. In 2005 she recorded for Mark Chadwick (The Levellers).

For 3 years she performed on cello at venues and live on local radio with Exit to Eden- a female fronted rock band. During this amazing time she developed into a cellist who put a whole new perspective into the art of cello playing. First by using guitar effects as a soundscape to the songs, then by co-writing music with the rest of the band to find a place for the cello rather than using it as a backing instrument.

From harsh distortion on sliding guitar solos to string slapping funky bass riffs Kat aimed at making each song something really memorable for the audience, and a totally unique sound for the band.

Exit to Eden performed at the Concorde2 (Brighton) Goldcoast Oceanfest (Devon), The Wedgwood Rooms (Southsea), live on BBC SOuthern Counties Radio and won "Best of the Bands" with David Courtney on Splash FM.

Kat performs and records on her Yamaha electric cello as well as her classical cello through an Accusound pick-up.

Live cello effects include: Line 6, Boss, Zoom, Acusound, MXR guitar pedals.

Fave Dish - bass/DJ

Fave took up the bass aged 15 and has slowly progressed over the years until now he can hold down a steady rhythm with the best of them. He has an eclectic bass style and heritage, and has played such diverse genres as jazz, rock, blues, reggae, folk and punk, and greatly enjoys his ocassional outings with the Beat Circus.

A personable person of multiple personas, you will generally find him in Portugal masquerading as Dave Fish, either playing bass with blues, reggae or folk bands, or maybe at a free party out in the forest, spinning electro at night and twisted psy dub in the daytime.

He has also been known to adopt his Pappa Leekey persona and sneak onto the Beat Circus decks to play back 2 back with Leekey Beatz.

A reclusive man, he has successfully eluded the paparazzi over the years. We have only be able to obtain the picture on the right, taken before colour film was available.
