"A breaks night that combines jamming musicians with a rolling DJ set; thereby offering the edginess of an 'anything could happen' live performance with the banging quality of a breakbeat workout....that unpredictable element makes it a compelling spectacle.

The amount of stage side activity lifts the music from the typical soundtrack status to main event - just how it should be.  For originality alone, Beat Circus is a welcome addition to the local scene, and sure beats watching some old bloke fiddle with his laptop."

The Strawberry Circus, May 2007

Brighton Fusion - Catherine Pryce

"The reputation of Beat Circus now is up there with all the major players of the party nights to go to in Brighton. With a cult following already well established, it’s not hard to see how the Strawberry Circus was a phenomenal success, raising over £4000 for charity that will build a school in Africa. The good karma is oozing out of this collective of very wonderful people...

The free-party hippies partied with families and breaks heads raved with indie kids, moshing at the front. No-one escaped the lick of paint as beautiful revellers stumbled around with an array of strawberries, butterflies, prawns and owls plastered over their faces. It was the kind of camaraderie and fun vibe that the Beat Circus achieves with finesse from their previous parties such as the Wig Party and Tash Club. Tongue firmly in cheek, poking fun at the other themed party nights that seem to give the nouvea riche chavs and Snafu collective ladies the green card to go out dressed in a mere whisper of pink nylon and look even more slutty than usual....

...With good things set for the future of Beat Circus and its first birthday approaching we can expect bigger and brighter stuff to happen. Get on your dancing shoes and keep the dressing up box handy."

Brighton Fusion - Catherine Pryce

"An orgy of flammable rainbow nylon, big dirty electro beats and a room full of bouncing beautiful revellers. The beat circus is something rather unique and special with the makings of a cult following. Live musicians jam along side local DJ’s to offer a pick and mix night of entertainment, something for everyone and a visual treat.

The atmosphere though, I have to say, was one of the most magical I have experienced in some time - every person had a beaming smile peeping under their disarray of colour. One could hold the daft poise, as you do at a fancy dress party and take the opportunity to properly loose it. The dreary darkness that is the Pressure Point only accentuated the magical rainbow party going off inside, taking nothing away from the mash up on stage...."

DontStayIn - Abi Cambridge

"...an audio smorgasbord of sexy sounds, a tapas of tasty treats and beats, a bento box of brilliance…with an atmosphere to match...This is the sparkle that has been missing from places like the Zap and the Honey club for years!

This is fresh. This is creativity. This is where it’s at you cool cats, and it’s happening NOW! If you love your beats broken and your music REAL, get your happy souls down to the Beat Circus you WILL have a stonking good night....There’s no bearded ladies at this circus, only awe inspiring talent and plenty of clowning around."
